A successful marriage requires
falling in love many times,
always with the same person.

To my Grandkids
A GRANDMOTHER'S PRAYER
Oh Lord, I do not ask for much,
Eternal beauty or youth or such:
Just give me a little hand to hold
And I'll forget that I'm growing old.
I do not ask for cloudless skies,
A life that's free from tears and sighs,
Just give me a little face to kiss
And anxious moments will turn to bliss.
For what is there, really, that means so much
As little hands that reach and touch,
As little eyes that search and see
Only the best in fragile me?
So let me grow more loving and wise
By looking at life through their wide eyes.
For through these little ones, Thou hast given
This grateful grandmother a glimpse of Heaven.

Afternoon at the temple
I went to a session at the Draper Temple today with my daughter. It was a heart warming experience. I had been to the open house at the temple but going through a session is a whole different experience. You are supposed to have a reservation and we made one for the 12:00 session. We were late, of course but they told us to hurry and we did that. For 10 minutes after that they kept letting people come into the endowment room and the ordinance workers just kept bringing more and more chairs in the room until the people stopped coming. They didn't turn anyone away. When we moved into the next room Cheryl and I sat up front with the Ordinance workers. It was a different view than sitting in the large group below. I loved being in the Draper temple and spending such a wonderful afternoon with my daughter. What a peaceful calming time the temple can be for each of us.

Did you see my new blog roll? I have new settings that tell me when anyone on my list has posted. It is great because I don't have to keep checking to no avail to people like you who only post on a rare occasion--like once a month. I have been wondering about doing a session in Draper. Is making an apointment temporary or will they always be doing that? I guess everyone is excited to see it new. I heard, from people who live there, that the Las Vegas Temple was very busy at first and now it is not at all. I think someone mentioned that in conference.
